Mr. Bertrand, Bill Storm & Grandmaster Silva,
Tomorrow is the halfway point in the year (181 days down). I came into the year on January 1 about $8000 short to make it through the month. I estimated at that rate I would be out of business by March. Since January 1, we have increased like I never would have dreamed.
We have enrolled 164 new students
We have upgraded 35 students
That’s a total of 199 new students or upgrades in 181 days. We are currently 18 ahead of schedule.
I am way ahead of meeting my goal of one a day.
Over the last 6 months I have increased monthly tuition (ASF Check) revenue every month. On July 1 we will bill $6978.81/per month more in tuition than on Jan 1.
In April I also hired a new fulltime Program Manager for our Western Branch school. That increased expenses about $2K/month, but we are so much better off than at the beginning of the year.
At this rate I will meet my goal of my ASF check fulfilling all my financial needs by October 1 (that’s about 3 months ahead of schedule). At that point I’ll start making money every month for the first time in my corporate existence (since 1997).
On June 30 in 2009 (before Cornerman) I had made 225,000 and was -12,650 in the hole (slowly going out of business). By the end of 2009 I had made 473,830 but was -22,490 in the red and really sweating how we were going to make it. We started ASF and Cornerman in high gear on December 1, 2009.
On June 30, 2010 I have made $290,000 ($65K more than in the first half of 2009) and we are +20,375. That money has helped me pay down debts, hire staff, and put $ away into savings. In fact I’ve doubled my savings in 6 months to about $25K. My Board of Directors wants me to have $100K in savings just to be wise. I’m working on it. At this rate I am on track to shatter my goal of a $500K in gross receipts this year. Conservatively it will be more like $550.
All I can say is 1. Praise God for His faithfulness. 2. Thank you for all your help saving my dream and putting me on the road to wild success. 3. and finally, without Mr. Silva and Cornerman I would be out of business after 13 years. I’d be out of a job that I love. I wouldn’t be able to impact hundreds of lives everyday, see children and adults built up and encouraged in excellence. And worst of all I would not be fulfilling my calling to serve the Lord and Build the Kingdom through worldclass Christian martial arts education.
Thank you for believing in me, my potential, and for helping me achieve my dreams. I’m not out of the woods yet, but I will be.
